If you really want the gory details, you can call me (after work hours! I can hardly take about it HERE) and I can fill you in. But really, this is a case of a smart person doing something dumb, as opposed to if I were just a permanently dim bulb.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
My brain is apparently as melty and gooey as the Langres cheese I had this weekend at my sweetie's (which I also posted about last year).
And best of all, (besides waiting for the other shoe to drop) I know that stress is bad for my already weakened immune system. Ironic, eh? "Be calm" etc. doesn't really help when you're waiting to see if you'll get a call from HR and if your other co-workers will figure out whodunnit. At least I've already had the closed-door-meeting-with-my-boss bright and early this morning.
My only sources of comfort are:
(a) perhaps they have bigger fish to fry,
(b) I hear there are now subsidized COBRA payments for the unemployed,
(c) maybe they won't figure out who the moron was
(d) I can't do anything about it now, as my assistant manager points out
Freakin' idiot
Squirrel -- some Langres is unpasteurized ... be careful.
